About Event
• Learn about the history of Azerbaijani carpet weaving, regional distinctions, and the symbolism of traditional patterns
• Become closely familiar with the tools, materials, and types of yarn used in the carpet-weaving process
• Learn weaving techniques step by step on Kilimçi’s specially designed portable looms
• Practically apply basic knotting techniques, color coordination, and pattern composition
• Weave their own carpet samples with the guidance of master artisans, experiencing the entire process from start to finish
At the end of the masterclass, each participant will:
• Take home the carpet piece they have woven as a keepsake
• Gain a deeper understanding of the cultural meaning of carpet weaving and the value created through craftsmanship
